Bio

Hired in 2012, Dr. David Grossman comes to Fullerton College from Barstow Community College where he was the Dean of Instruction. Grossman attended West Valley College where he earned an Associate of Arts degree in Business Administration in 1985. He then transferred to California State University, Fullerton where he studied Physical Education and Athletic Administration.

In 1986, he began his collegiate coaching career with the men’s basketball team at Cal State Fullerton as a volunteer. David received his Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education in 1987 and his Master’s degree in 1991. At CSUF, he was also a graduate assistant for the men’s basketball team.

In 1989, David assisted California Community College Men’s Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame Coach, Tony Nunes at DeAnza College in Cupertino, California. He then returned to Cal State Fullerton as an assistant men’s basketball coach in 1990. In 1992, David was the co-coach of the women’s basketball team at Cerritos College as well as an adjunct physical education instructor.

In 1993, Mr. Grossman was hired as an assistant coach/Kinesiology instructor at Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho. In 1993, David was selected as the Men’s Basketball Coach and Physical Education Instructor at Barstow Community College. He was the head coach for 10 years and taught physical education for 14 years.
