Bio

Juan Cuevas has been the Co-Head Athletic Trainer at Fullerton College since 2006. He is a former Fullerton College student under HOF Bill Chambers, Lisa Nelson and David Chaffin.

Cuevas earned his BS in Kinesiology - Emphasis in Athletic Training from CSUF in 2000 and has been a BOC Certified Athletic Trainer since 2000.

An active member of the Far West Athletic Trainers' Association (FWATA), Juan is also a member of the California Athletic Trainers' Association (CATA) and the California Community College Athletic Training Association (CCCATA). He became a Preceptor in 2004 and currently serves as Preceptor for the Master of Science in Athletic Training Programs at California State University, Fullerton and Cal Baptist University.

Cuevas' body of work includes an internship with the St Louis Rams in 1999, Assistant Athletic Trainer at Santa Margarita Catholic High School, physical therapy aide at ProSport Physical Therapy and Director of Student Health Services/Head Athletic Trainer at JSerra Catholic High School just prior to joining the Hornets.

During his time at Fullerton College, Juan's accomplishments include Clinical Instructors/Preceptor of the year, Inaugural FWATA Life Saver Award,  NOCCCD Classified Professional of the year and CCCAA Athletic Trainer of the Year.

Having a strong passion for Sports Medicine, Cuevas loves educating new students in the Athletic Training profession and thrives in seeing them succeed as they become colleagues.

Cuevas resides in La Habra, has been married to the love of his wife Roxie for 20 years, has two dogs, three teenage children and a brand new bonus baby Paloma Rose.
