W. BEACH VOLLEYBALL: DOUBLE WIN FOR HORNETS

The Lady Hornets took on Cypress and Riverside on the sands of Huntington Beach last Friday and beat both the Chargers (4-1) and Tigers (3-2) in conference match-ups.

In the first contest of the day verse Cypress, Fullerton whipped through the Chargers 4-1. Pair One Charity Dennis and Azucena Duarte won both sets 23-21 and 21-17. Alex Winfield and Mariah Gonzalez won their match in three sets 10-21, 21-17, and 15-11. Mallori Koci and Alex Smith lost in two 21-16, 12-13. Mikki Sale and Shawnee Longmeyer won in three 20-22, 21-17, and 15-12. Ellen Hansen and Alyssa Jensen finished with a three set win 20-22, 21-17, and 15-12.

In the day's second contest against Riverside, the Hornets edged the Tigers 3-2. Wins were had by Dennis / Duarte (21-15, 21-11), Winfield / Gonzalez (21-17, 21-15), and Smith / Koci (21-17, 21-15). 

Up Next: The Hornets (3-1, 2-0) will play again this Friday, March 18th at Huntington Beach (Newland) against Golden West and San Diego City. Matches will begin at 10:30 am.
