W. BEACH VOLLEYBALL: HORNETS HIT THE SAND
Fullerton's beach volleyball squad began the season with a win and a loss on Friday beating Palomar College 3-2 and losing to El Camino College 5-0.
The matches were hosted by Golden West College who won both of their matches against El Camino and Palomar. Fullerton and GWC will not face one another until Friday, March 16th.
In the first matches of the day against Palomar, FC's #1 team of Lauren Schaefer and Catherine Serna won their match 15-21, 21-18, 15-13. The #4 team of Samaria Longstreet and Kristine Perez won handily 21-14 and 21-2, while the #5 team of Kendall Campos and Ashley Pruitt welcomed the Comet's forfeit.
The Hornets struggled against a hot El Camino College team that had won three straight matches leading up to today. The Warriors swept all matches 5-0 and did not lose a set to the Hornets.
Up Next: Fullerton (1-1 overall) will play in the Irvine Valley College Quad against Santa Barbara City College and Long Beach City College next Friday, march 2nd. Matches will begin at 10:00 am.
