W. BEACH VOLLEYBALL: THE ORANGE EMPIRE CONFERENCE CHAMPS!
The Hornets hosted a doubleheader match against Saddleback College on Friday, and won both 5-0, 5-0 to claim their first-ever Orange Empire Conference title.
After taking down Saddleback on the Huntington Beach sand, Fullerton ends the regular season with an undefeated 9-0 record, the best in program history.
In the day's first match, Hannah Wilmes and Kenzie Palmer won big 21-9, 21-7, Faith Webb and Chloe Johnson also won by a solid margin 21-7, 21-9, and Hailey Vargas and Samantha Swanson clinched it 21-9, 21-6. Hannah Tobin and Alexis Zander rounded out the victory by winning their games 21-9, 21-7.
In the second match, Wilmes and Palmer won 21-13, 21-7, Webb and Johnson 21-9, 21-6, Vargas and Swanson took their games 21-9, 21-7, and Brianne Elorriaga and Karen Delgadillo won 21-2, 21-8.
It was a great season for the Hornets, and with so much talent coming back to play on the indoor team it will make for an exciting fall.
