ORANGE SQUEEZE: Fullerton College knocks off Orange Coast College 5-4 in 10 innings at home on Thursday.

The #12 Hornets (10-6 overall, 2-1 OEC) scored three runs in the second inning and held a 3-1 lead until the 8th.

Ranked 2 in SoCal, Orange Coast (14-5, 2-2) came to life offensively in the 8th scoring 3 runs to go up 4-3 over FC.

With 1 out in the bottom of the 9th inning, CF Dakota Wix came up the plate and delivered a shot through the left side allowing LF Nick Gotta to score the tying run.

With 1 out and a man on first and third in the bottom of the 10th, OF Uriel Salinas delivered for Fullerton when he laid down a perfectly placed bunt to the left side. As the Salinas beat out the throw to first base, Kodi Diamond (pinch running for Troy Mulcahey who doubled) crossed home plate from third to win the game.

Fullerton starter Troy Mulcahey (0-2) got the No Decision after tossing a solid 7 innings allowing 3 hits, 2 earned runs, 3 walks, and 2 strikeouts. RP Dylan Cole threw an inning and gave up no earned runs. Jacob Miller (1 save) pitched the final 2 innings earning his first win on the season while allowing only 2 hits.
