GUN-SMOKED: Pirate pitcher Kyle Dowdy (5-1) threw a complete 4-hit gem blanking the Hornets 7-0 on Thursday. Dowdy punched out six while only walking one.

Fullerton could not complete the season three-game series, and the OCC win cuts the Hornet's Orange Empire Conference first place lead down to three games.

 The Pirates now sit at 21-9 overall and 9-6 in the OEC. FC is now 22-8 overall and 12-3 in the OEC.

Up Next: The Hornets will travel to Saddleback College Friday night (6:00 pm) for game two of the OEC three-game series. FC won the first game 7-6 back on March 9th.
