BASEBALL: RALLEY IN THE SIXTH

Taking on a 2-0 deficit off of a homer by Joe Favela in the top of the first, the Hornets never hung their heads. In the top of the fifth FC was in a 6-1 hole and still had hope.

By the end of the fifth inning the Hornets put their heads down and went to work scoring two runs on a throwing error and a SAC Fly by Troy Prasertsit.

With the Eagles leading 6-3, Fullerton struck again in the 6th scoring four unanswered runs. 1B Garrett Valdez got it started when he singled through the right side scoring catcher Oliver Jackson. With the bases loaded, 2B Nick Gotta walked forcing in 3B Oscar Heredia. Prasertsit then ripped one up the middle scoring CF Dakota Wix and Valdez.

Fullerton RHP Kyle Lazcano grabbed the win going 5 innings while allowing only 2 hits with 2 strikeouts. Starter RHP Dylan Prohoroff went 4 innings allowing 6 runs on 6 hits. Hel also had 3 strikeouts.

Up Next: The Hornets will travel down to Palomar College this Thursday, February 13th.  The first pitch goes out at 2:00 pm.
