BASEBALL: HOME SWEET HOME

Riding a nice five-game win streak, Fullerton took care of business at home on Thursday winning the three-game season series against Golden West with a 5-1 victory.  

FC had lost the first game at Golden West 3-2 on February 27th, but then evened the series this past Tuesday with a convincing 13-2 win at home. The Hornets had a total of 14 hits in the game with only 6 left on base. Pitcher Nick Morton (4-1) got the start and the win going 6.2 innings with 2 earned runs against and 2 strikeouts. Relievers Parker Merritt and Christiannel Cosme finished off the game throwing an inning each.

Thursday's game featured Dylan Prohoroff (4-0) on the mound who threw 6 innings for his fourth win of the season. He allowed 5 hits with no earned runs and 5 strikeouts. RP Jake Lyons went .02 with a hit and a run against and Parker Merritt threw 1.1 innings with no hit against. Austin Sweet finished off the game allowing 2 hits with 2 strikeouts.

Up Next: The Hornets (17-5, 7-2) will play another one at home this Saturday, March 22nd against Saddleback College. The first pitch goes out at noon.
