BASEBALL: COMEBACK KIDS

Breaking a three game skid, the Hornets pulled off a come-from-behind-win on Tuesday at Riverside City College beating the Tigers 9-8.

Scoring five runs in the seventh inning, Fullerton took the game and the three-game season series and are now back in the tight race of the Orange Empire Conference. There are currently three teams tied for 3rd place (Fullerton, Cypress, and Riverside 9-8), two teams tied for second place (Orange Coast and Santa Ana 10-7), and one team holding on to a one-game lead in first place (Saddleback 11-6).

RP Christian Salinas (1-0) came in to grab his first win of the season going 2 innings with 4 hits allowed and 1 earned run. Jake Lyons came in to throw 2 innings without allowing a hit with 1 strikeout. Parker Merritt picked up his second save throwing an inning with no runs, no hits, and 1 strikeout.

Up Next:  The Hornets (19-11, 9-8) will host Orange Coast College on Thursday, April 10th. The first pitch goes out at 2:00 pm.
