BASEBALL: HORNETS TAKE SERIES OVER CYPRESS

The Hornets took the three-game season series against their district rival Cypress College winning two out of three games.

FC lost the opener at Cypress 12-1, but after that the Hornet offense exploded scoring 25 runs in two games. In game two of the series, Fullerton hosted the Chargers on Thursday and won big 17-8.

In the final game on Saturday at Cypress, FC finished off the Chargers with an 8-2 victory.

FC starting pitcher Jordan Wisner threw 3 innings with 4 hits against and 1 earned run. RP Sean Henry (1-0) notched his first win on the season going 6 strong innings of 1-hit baseball.

Thomas Delgadillo led the way for the Hornets going 3-5 at the plate with 1 run and 3 RBI. Todd Yost was 1-2 with 3 walks, had 2 runs, and 2 RBI. Joey Parente was 1-2 with a walk and scored 2 runs.

Up Next: The Hornets (16-21 overall, 4-14 OEC) will play at Golden West College on Tuesday, April 25th. Game time is at 2:00 pm.
