BASEBALL: TUERFFS TO WHITTIER COLLEGE
Sophomore second baseman Daniel Tuerffs signed with Whittier College this week.
Tuerffs, a 5-10 infielder from Yorba Linda High School, started for the Hornets in 35 games this past spring. He batted .330, with 9 RBI ans 19 runs. Defensively, Tuerffs chipped in on 19 double plays, committed only 4 errors, and had 80 assists.
"Daniel is a special kid that really contributed to our ball club this past season. Not only does he have the will to succeed, but he has the tools to truly do something special with the Poets", Hornet Head Coach Nick Fuscardo.
