BASEBALL: ALL-OEC HONORS

Six Hornet players earn second team All-Orange Empire Conference honors.

Freshman pitcher Connor Tousignant (Brea Olinda High) led the team with an overall record of 4-3 with 1 save in 14 appearances (77.1 innings). Tousignant finished the 2018 season with an ERA of 2.91, 59 strikeouts, 19 walks, and 2 complete games.

Sophomore pitcher Garrett Molnar (Sunny Hills High) was 4-6 overall in 12 appearances (61 innings). Molnar ended with an ERA of 4.43, 38 K's and 28 walks.

Sophomore pitcher Sean Henry (Glendora High) had the best overall record for the Hornets at 5-3. Henry finished with an ERA of 3.15, 25 strikeouts and 17 walks. 

Jake Anderson, a sophomore first Baseman from Yorba Linda High, led the team in RBI with 27 with a batting average of .345. He also led in hits with 51, had 11 doubles, 1 triple, 4 home runs, and 25 runs. 

Ryan Aguirre, a sophomore second baseman from Anaheim High, tallied 26 RBI, had 44 hits, with 5 doubles, 20 runs, with a batting average of .319.

Monte Montenegro, a freshman center fielder from Bonita High, had the highest batting average at .362 in 34 games played. He accumulated 46 hits, 5 doubles, 1 triple, with 26 runs, and 22 RBI.
