FOOTBALL: ALL-AMERICAN & STATE HORNETS

Ending the season as the number one team in the country has its perks like having three players on the All-America team and the All-State Team.

The All-America team was announced late last week with sophomore Hornets Eric Pulliam (OL), Caleb Johnson (LB), and Montre Bonner earning first team honors. Pulliam, Johnson and Bonner also earned first team All-State honors for their succes and hard work on the field.

A 13-game starter on the o-line, Pulliam was a major reason for Fullerton's success breaking many records, including Season Wins (13), Total Offense (7,236), Points per Game Average (57.4), Most Points Game (79), Most Points Half (50), Most Points Quarter (36), Most TDs Game (11), Largest Margin of Victory (69), Most Passing Yards Season (3,826), and Most Net Yards Rushing Season (3,410).

A pure athlete at the linebacker position, Johnson led the Hornet defense to many state-highs. FC ended the season as the state leader in sacks (64), interceptions (27), and touchdowns (7). In 13 games played, Johnson had 41 tackles, 5.5 sacks, 1 forced fumble, and 1 fumble recovery.

A two year starter for FC, Bonner co-led the state in sacks with 14. He also had 39 tackles, 3 forced fumbles, 2 fumble recoveries, and 3 breakups. In his two year career as a Hornet, Montre goes down as one of the greatest sack artists with 25.
