MEN'S BASKETBALL: HORNETS TOP WARRIORS

The FC men's basketball team hosted El Camino College on Wednesday night topping the Warriors 59-48 in a non-conference game.

The win improves the Hornet's overall record to 12-4, while the Warrior loss sets them back to 1-11.

In the first half, Fullerton managed a 21-14 lead with over two minutes left, but El Camino did their best to battle back getting within one point (21-20) with over a minute to go. The score was is favor of the Hornets 25-23 by the end of the half.

FC made a strong push in the second half going on a 20-6 run taking a 45-31 lead by the 9:28 mark.  

The Warriors came within four points (50-46) with just over three minutes left in the game, but the Hornets proved too much for El Camino and preserved the win.

FC's Kenny Barnes led all scorers with 16 points. He also brought down 10 rebounds for a double-double on night. Julian Richardson scored 12 points with 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Isaiah Clark just missed a double-double scoring 9 points with 10 boards. Ryley Stewart was big off the bench contributing 9 points for the win.

Up Next: Fullerton (12-4) will open up Orange Empire Conference-play at Irvine Valley College (12-4) on Wednesday, January 6th. Tip off will be at 5:00 pm.
