MEN'S BASKETBALL: IT'S ON!

The #6 Hornets did what they set out to do at Orange Coast College Tuesday beating the Pirates 96-50. The win now sets up a showdown at #2 Saddleback College for the Orange Empire Conference Championship.

Fullerton stepped on the accelerator from the opening tip-off and did not let up on the Pirates. By the 12:05 mark, FC owned a 21-5 lead. When the halftime buzzer went off, the Hornets led 43-23.

The Pirates did not pose any threat to FC's lead in the second half as Fullerton took their largest lead of 46 as the game wrapped up.

Fullerton's Dillon Reise delivered a game-high 19-point performance with 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Kenny Barnes followed up with 18 points and 7 rebounds. Kendall Lauderdale had 16 points with 5 rebounds. Ian Fox and Jesse Ghee each put up 9 points.

Up Next: FC (21-6 overall, 10-1 OEC) will travel south to Saddleback College for the OEC title game on Thursday, February 16th. Tip off will be at 5:00 pm. Fullerton managed a hard-fought 46-45 win in their last OEC match-up that was played at the Hornets Nest. Hornet fans will not want to miss this one as it promises to be an exciting game.
