Jason Richardson scored a game-high 32 points to lead the Hornets to victory.

The #8 Hornets knocked off #11 Mt. San Jacinto College 77-61 on Friday night advancing them to the title game of the 34th FC Classic.

In the first minutes, Mt. San Jacinto dropped in the first jumper of the game going up 2-1, and that would be their only lead as Ronne Readus took the ball on the next possession and made a layup. Khalil Stevenson hit a deep three-point shot a little over a minute later doubling their lead over the Eagles at 8-4.

By halftime, the Hornets owned a 35-23 lead and went on to control the game throughout the second half for a decisive victory.

It was a much better shooting performance for Fullerton than their last outing hitting 51% from the floor to the Eagle's 36.1%. FC also shot 50% from three-point land. The only battle FC lost was on the boards as the Eagles out-rebounded the Hornets 38-35.

Fullerton's Jason Richardson went off for a game-high 34 points, with 5 assists, and 3 rebounds. Ronne Readus had 10 points with 7 boards and Vaj Rice put up 11 points. Stevenson scored 9 points and had 8 rebounds while Akil Reese helped out with 7 points.

Up Next: A repeat of last weekend's tournament at San Diego City, the #8 Hornets (4-1 overall) will take on the #1 San Diego City Knights (5-0) on Saturday, November 11th at 5:00 pm in the championship game. The Knights reached the title game edging out Citrus College in an overtime shootout 92-91 in the previous game Saturday.
