MEN’S BASKETBALL: TRIPLE DIGIT WIN

In an Orange Empire Conference match-up, the No. 2 Hornets took a trip down to Santa Ana College Friday night scoring their highest point total of the season beating the Dons 103-73.

The win boosts Fullerton's record to 23-2 overall with an OEC record of 8-1, while Santa Ana falls to 8-17 overall with a conference record of 2-7.

FC did not waste any time taking a 10-2 lead in the first three minutes of the game. Dylan Banks' three-pointer put the Hornets up 24-12 at 12 minutes. By halftime, Fullerton pushed their lead to 56-38.

Lance Coleman II began the second half with a three-point shot, and the Hornets went on to take their biggest lead of 32 by the 13-minute mark (81-49). With the game well at hand, FC finished out the game scoring their highest point total since the 2016-17season, a 106-72 win over guess who? Santa Ana College.

Fullerton shot 52.7% from the floor to Santa Ana's 34.7%. FC also owned the key out-scoring the Dons 40-18, while out-rebounding their opponent 50-35.

Ronne Readus locked down his 13th double-double of the season scoring a team-high 23 points with 19 rebounds. Lance Coleman II put up 18 points and Jailen Moore scored 17. Rodrick McCobb netted 13 points, while Vaj Rice scored 10 with 6 boards. Omajae Smith nearly had a triple-double dropping in 9 points, with 9 rebounds, and dishing out a season-high 10 assists.

Up Next:  Fullerton (23-2 overall, 8-1 OEC) will hit the road again on Thursday February 14th when they take on Cypress College. Tipoff is at 5:00 pm.
