MEN'S SOCCER: HORNETS CAN'T HOLD ON IN DOUBLE OVERTIME

Up 1-0 with 25 minutes left in regulation, #8 Fullerton lost a tough one at #1 Mt. San Antonio College in double overtime 3-1 in the 2nd Round of the SoCal Regionals.

The first goal of the game did not come until the 62nd minute mark when Brian Jaquez put one into the back of the net.

With time running out for the Mounties, Juan Ortega kept their season alive by scoring a goal with just second left in regulation. Christopher Antunez came in with the assist.

With the game forced into to overtime, both teams battled to a scoreless stalemate.

In double-overtime, Mt. SAC broke the Hornets' hearts scoring not one but two goals (Rolando Munoz and Julio Velazquez) dashing Fullerton's hopes and season.

FC GK Julian Sanchez had 5 saves on the day.

The Hornets ended their fine season with an overall record of 10-6-7 made the playoffs after six year absence.
