MEN'S SOCCER: ROLLIN' 3-0

The new-look Hornets make it three in row knocking off College of the Canyons 3-1 at home Tuesday in a non-conference match-up.

After beating Southwestern College 3-2 on the road on Monday, Fullerton remained an undefeated 3-0 handing the Cougars (0-1) a loss in their first game of the season.

Canyons put a scare into the Hornets drilling the ball into the back of the net to go up 1-0 in the first seven minutes.

FC's Eduin Munguia evened it out at the 24-minute mark on a shot fed by Gerard Abessolo.

Tied 1-1 to open the second half, Fullerton took control of the game dominating the Cougar's end of the field. Munguia struck again in the 60th minute with the assist coming from Rene Santillan.

The Hornets put the game to bed when Melchor Gomez kicked an unassisted shot past Canyon's goalie.

FC goalie Julian Ochoa played 90 minutes allowing a goal with 2 saves.

Up Next: The Hornets (3-0) will take a well deserved game-break until Tuesday, September 6th when they host El Camino College at 4:00 pm.
