MEN'S SOCCER: HORNETS OVER HAWKS

The FC men's soccer team won 2-1on the road against Santiago Canyon College last Friday in an Orange Empire Conference match-up.

The win keeps Fullerton in third place in a tight OEC race at 3-1-2. Santa Ana currently sits in first at 4-0-2 and Irvine Valley is in second at 4-1-2. The loss for Santiago Canyon sets them back to 1-5-1 in conference play as they now sit in 7th place.

The Hornets scored the first goal of the game in the 34th minute when Anthony Ferrigno drilled one past the Hawk's goalie. The assist came from Pablo Ros.

Fullerton scored again in the second half on a shot by Tyler Grassi in the 64th minute (assist by Joshua Barajas).

FC goal keeper Fabian Calderon only allowed one Santiago goal get by and had 3 saves on the day.

Up Next: The Hornets (5-6-2 overall, 3-1-2 OEC) will play district-rival Cypress College a home this Tuesday, October 10th. Game time is at 3:00 pm.
