MEN'S SOCCER: CYPRESS SHUTOUT

The Hornets hosted Cypress College in an Orange Empire Conference rivalry game on Tuesday blanking the Chargers 3-0.

Fullerton took control of the game early owning the Chargers' side of the field. After a few missed opportunities, the Hornets scored their first goal in the 35th minute on a shot by Cesar Ortega (assist Luis Dircio).

FC went up 2-0 scoring a quick goal early in the second half. Ryutaro Ichihara took a pass from Cesar Ortega and booted the ball past the Cypress goal keeper.

Putting the nail in the coffin, Danny Abrego-Fulton scored the third goal of the game after taking the assist from Alejandro Castillo in the 70th minute.

Silvestre Puebla got the nod at goalie collecting his second shutout with 3 saves.

Up Next: The Hornets will play in a non-conference game up at Taft College this Friday, October 13th. Game time is at 3:00 pm.
