MEN'S SOCCER: HORNETS HOLD OFF HAWKS

In an Orange Empire Conference match-up, Fullerton stepped up on Sophomore Day beating Santiago Canyon College 2-0 at home Tuesday.

Freshman Miles Metoyer had a busy day scoring both FC goals in the second half of the game. His first goal came in the 50th minute after taking a pass from sophomore Tyler Grassi. Metoyer's scored his second goal in the 65th minute when he kicked the ball past the goalie from fifteen yards out. The assist came from Luis Torres.

The Hornet defense played very well holding the Hawks scoreless.

Silvestre Puebla and Fabian Caldera were solid in the box for Fullerton. Both had 3 saves each.

Since it was the last home game of the season, the Hornet sophomores were honored during the game recieving a big round of applause for their hard work and dedication to the program. Sophomores honored were Luis TorresTyler GrassiMelchor GomezOmar VegaJacob AldanaNick DavilaEddie Gomez, and Armando Torres.

Up Next: The Hornets (8-11-2 overall, 6-5-2 OEC) will play on the road this Thursday, November 9th at Cypress College. Game time is at 3:00 pm.
