MEN'S SOCCER: THREE HORNETS GOING TO THE NEXT LEVEL

Two-year starters Melchor Gomez, Tyler Grassi, and Armando Torres will be moving on to the four-year level after receiving scholarship offers.

Melchor Gomez will continue his studies and play at Kansas Wesleyan University next fall. A hard-working defender, Gomez was one of the team's leaders on and off the field. In his two-year career at FC he had scored 4 goals with an assist.

A 2017 1st Team All-Orange Empire Conference selection, Tyler Grassi accepted a scholarship from The Master's University in Santa Clarita, California. A team co-captian, Grassi was one of the goal leaders for Fullerton this season scoring 6 goals. He had 2 assists as well.

A two-time 1st Team All-Orange Empire Conference player for the Hornets, Armando Torres has chosen to play at Azusa Pacific University. A staunch defender and team co-captain, Torres was heavily relied upon this past season for his field and leadership abilities.

"I'm very proud of the hard work and dedication these guys have put into the program and themselves achieving this dream of theirs. These young men truly embody what it means to be a Fullerton College soccer player, and their achievement to move on to the next level is the top priority of our program. I'm extremely blessed to have been their coach and a part of their journey", Hornet Head Coach Greg Aviles.
