MEN'S SOCCER: FC RALLIES PAST HAWKS

In a conference match, Fullerton welcomed Santiago Canyon College to Hornet Field and gave the Hawks a 2-1 loss.

The Hornets win keeps them in control of their own destiny riding in first place with a Orange Empire Conference record of 10-1-2 and an overall record of 15-2-2. The SCC loss lands them at 5-5-3 in conference and 8-6-5 overall.

This Friday, Fullerton will play at home for the sole possession of the conference title against Golden West College. FC's lone OEC blemish came against the Rustlers back on October 9th, a 1-0 road-loss.

Tuesday's game vs. the Hawks was a good one that featured lots of action between two quality teams.

Santiago Canyon took an early lead in the 25th minute on an unassisted shot by Marcus Gonzalez. The Hawks went into the half with a 1-0 lead. 

Fullerton got in on the action tying the game up at 1 apiece in the 60th minute when Jacob Aldana passed the ball over to Danny Abrego-Fulton, who drove one into the back of the net.

Ten minutes later, FC took the lead and the game on another goal by Abrego-Fulton. The assist came from Cesar Coronado.

Fullerton goalie Keven Rehmani helped secure the win with 5 saves in 90 minutes.

Up Next: The Hornets (15-2-2 overall, 10-1-2 OEC) will host Golden West College on Friday, November 9t at 3:00 pm. This is a very big game for FC so come out and cheer for your Hornets!
