MEN'S SOCCER: CHAMPS MAKING ALL-CONFERENCE

The Hornets pulled in a heavy bounty of awards after winning the Orange Empire Conference.

Earning first team honors were CJ WoodDanny Abrego-FultonCesar Coronado, and Steve Perez.

A sophomore defender, Wood was the best defensemen in the conference, while sophomore Abrego-Fulton led the team in goals with 9. Freshman Steve Perez was the team leader in assists with 10 and 4 goals, while sophomore Cesar Coronado had 4 assists.

Second team selections were Carlos EsparzaJacob Aldana, and Brian Martinez.

 A sophomore, Esparza had 6 assists and a goal, while sophomore Jacob Aldana had 7 goals and 4 assists. A freshman defender, Martinez played a big role in the Hornet's success.

Pablo Ros (D)

Marco Polo 2 goals, 1 assist

Ryu Ichihara 3 goals

Cesar Ortega 2 goals, 5 assists

Hornet Head Coach Greg Aviles was named the 2018 All-Orange Empire Conference Coach of the year. In just his third season at the helm, this is Coach Aviles' first all-conference honor.
