MEN'S SOCCER: PLAYOFF WIN & LOOKING FOR MORE

The Hornets past their first test in the Southern California Regionals beating OEC rival Irvine Valley 1-0 at home Saturday.

The game was a defensive battle as both teams fought it out trying to gain the upper hand.

FC's Michael Calderon scored the game's lone goal in the 68th minute on an assist by Bronny Toledo. From there, the FC defense shut the Lasers out holding on for the win.

Hornet goalie Kevan Rhemani had 8 saves and helped lock down the team's 10th shutout win on the season.
