For the second time this season, the Hornets held the Santiago Canyon Hawks scoreless for a 2-0 home-win on Friday night.
Fullerton now has an overall record of 12-3-3 and is now riding alone in first place in the Orange Empire Conferecne with an undefeated record of 8-0-2. Cypress College lost its first OEC game earler in the day on Friday, a 1-0 to Irvine Valley College. Santiago Canyon remains winless in the OEC at 0-9-1.
The first score was an own-goal by SCC that put Fullerton up 1-0 in the 29th minute. FC made it 2-0 seven minutes later on a shot by Josiahs Palacios with the assist coming from Evan Yoell.
FC goalie Andrew Barragan had 1 save in helping the Hornets to their 9th shut-out win on the season.
Up Next: The Hornets (12-3-3 overall, 8-0-2 OEC) will play again at home this Tuesday, November 5th when they travel to Irvine Valley College for an Orange Empire Conference match. Game time is at 3:00 pm.
