MEN'S TENNIS: SPLITTING WITH ORANGE COAST
Orange Empire Conference-play continued on Tuesday with the Hornets winning one and losing one at home against Orange Coast College.
Continuing a match that was postponed from March 5th (darkness), Fullerton pulled off a 5-4 victory over the Pirates.
Rodrigo Onate took the deciding match in three sets losing the first but came back to win the second and third.
In the second scheduled match, the Pirates returned the favor beating Fullerton 5-4.
FC got off on the right foot winning all of their doubles matches. Wins were had by Jindrich Kosatik/Sergio Lee-Gutierrez (8-4), Rodrigo Onate/Thiago Manzano (8-6), and Louis St. Clair/Charles Kirk (8-6).
In singles-play, Sergio Lee-Gutierrez was the lone Hornet to win his match (6-3, 6-1).
Up Next: Fullerton (7-8 overall, 1-5 conference) will take on Santa Barbara City College in a non-conference away match on Friday, March 22nd at 2:00 pm.
