M. TRACK & FIELD: HORNETS HIT QUALIFIERS

The Hornets placed well at Golden West College's last chance qualifier meet last Thursday as personal records were broken and qualifying marks were made.

Rudy Membrano continued to add to the list of events he is qualified in, jumping a very big personal record in the long jump, and every one of his jumps was better than his last PR. An hour later, he ran the 400 Hurdles for the first time this year and ran a SoCal Qualifier of 58.08.

Lonnie Washington ran his first races of the season just in time to qualify for the conference championship in the 100m with a time of 11.35, 1/100 of second under the qualifying standard.

Travis Bair focused in on the javelin on Thursday throwing the Javelin 39.09m enabling him to compete at next weeks Orange Empire Conference Championship to be held at Fullerton College.
