MEN'S TRACK & FIELD: WALKER IS A STATE CHAMPION

Fullerton College had one student-athlete in Justin Walker that competed at the Track and Field State Championships hosted by American River College this past weekend, and he did not disappoint becoming the 2017 State Champion in the 110 M Hurdles.

Walker finished with a record-breaking time of 13.97 defeating Merritt College's Asa Allen (13.99) and Mt. SAC's Jasher Foster (14.31). It was a very tight and dramatic race that had Walker busting through for the win on the last hurdle.

Justin snapped a FC record held by Tom Turner, who had a time of 14.00 back in 1976.

Walker was also a top contender in the Long Jump taking second overall, with a leap of 7.67m, behind Sequoias' champ Bryce Higgins (7.86m).

"It was a wild ride with huge results by Justin. The Hornet coaching staff is very proud of Justin's season, which we look to build on with the rest of the team next season", Head Coach Sean Sheil.
