MEN'S TRACK & FIELD: BAKERSFIELD BATTLE OF REGIONS

The Hornets opened their season up in Bakersfield with a majority of the freshman team performing in their first college meet.

Being an early season meet, many of the athletes were tasked with competing in events outside of their comfort zone so as to benefit their early season fitness.

Sprinter Makyi Mcintire ran the 400m in a very respectable 51.1 seconds, and came back in less than 25 minutes and ran the 100m in 11.17 seconds.

Will Mcteggart jumped 5.94m (19ft 4in) and ran the 100m.

The distance runners ran a combination of 800, 1500 and 3000 meters.

As the Hornets round into shape, many more of our athletes will be competing in upcoming competitions.
