MEN'S TRACK & FIELD: RUNNING HORNETS

At the Night Distance Carnival at Occidental College, Ian Rusk of Fullerton took 8th place out of a field of 40 athletes in the 5000m run.

Rusk ran 15:34.9. His mile splits were 4:59-5:01-5:01, showing great discipline over the 3.1mile distance.

In the 3000m Steeple Chase, Mauro Rosales, in only his second attempt at the hurdling distance event, ran 10:31.6.

Many college freshmen are surprised by the difficulty of this event as it is not offered in high school.
