MEN'S TRACK & FIELD: COMING AROUND
The FC men's track team is starting to come around just in time with the conference prelims are 30 days away after posting solid numbers at the Orange Coast College Invite last Friday.
Both the 4x100m and 4x400m relays took second place, running 43.1 and 3:26 respectively. Xavion Steele and Conley Hillegas both ran 50.1 legs.
Steele took 5th out of 40 competitors in the 100m, running 11.1 in his first meet of the season. Hillegas was 9th in 11.2.
Ryan Sheatz took 3rd in a windy 800, clocking 2:04.
Ian Rusk took 2nd in a strategic sit and kick 1500, where the runners got out slow, and then kicked the final 400. Rusk clocked in at 4:12.
Up Next: The Hornets head to El Camino College this Friday March 22nd for their next invite. Eventswill begin at 10:00 am.
