The FC men's volleyball team welcomed OEC rival Golden West College to the Hornets Nest for a Saint Patrick's Day match-up. Fullerton had a green light against a tough Rustler squad beating them in three straight games.
All three games played were down-to-the-wire finishes with FC winning 25-21, 25-19, and 25-22.
The win lifts Fullerton to an overall record of 10-4 with an Orange Empire Conference record of 2-0. The GWC loss bumps them to 7-4 overall with an OEC record of 0-2.
Leading the way for FC was Manny Andrade who had 17 kills. Greg Gilmore had 7 digs, and Dale Irvin had 5 digs with 25 assists. Kyle Young chipped in with 5 kills and 2 solo blocks.
Up Next: Fullerton (10-4 overall, 2-0 conference) will play at Orange Coast College for another OEC game on Wednesday, March 22nd. Game time is at 6:00 pm.
