MEN'S VOLLEYBALL: FC SWEEPS GOLDEN WEST

The Hornets grabbed a very nice road-win on Wednesday beating conference rival Golden West three games to none.

The win completes the season sweep over the Rustlers winning every set six games to zero.

Fullerton now has a firm hold on third place in the Orange Empire Conference with a record of 4-2 and an overall record of 12-6. The Rustlers have fallen on hard times with an OEC record of 1-5 and an overall record of 8-7.

The first two games were very close wins for FC edging out the Rustlers 26-24 and 25-21. The third game, however, was all Fullerton as they went on to win that one 25-16 against a deflated GWC squad.

Fullerton's Manny Andrade had 13 kills3 aces and 7 digs. Kyle Young chipped in with 10 kills and 2 solo blocks. Javier Zavala and Josh Bowles both slammed down 7 kills apiece. Dale Irvin contributed 36 assists and 5 digs, while Greg Gilmore helped out with 13 digs.

Up Next: Fullerton (12-6, 4-2) will host Orange Coast College for another OEC game this Friday, April 7 at 6:00 pm.
