The #5 seed Fullerton College men's volleyball team ended their season last Friday in the State Semi-Finals falling to #4 L.A. Pierce College in three sets.
In the first game, the Hornets and Brahmans battled it out, but Pierce managed to go on a late run to win it 25-20. Game two was all Pierce as they took control early for the 25-12 win. FC tried to rally back in the third game, but the momentum was all on the side of the home team as the Brahmas went on to take it 25-19.
FC sophomore Javier Zavala was the team's leader in kills with 9 and Jacob Van Der Beek followed with 8. Freshman Brian Marquez delivered 22 assists with 4 digs.
It was another successful season under head coach Eddie Rapp, who has led the Hornets to two playoff runs since the program began two years ago.
