MEN'S VOLLEYBALL: BREAKTHROUGH

An inspired Hornet squad broke an eight-game losing streak at home Wednesday night sweeping Santiago Canyon College 3-0.

Prior to the game, FC honored their lone sophopmore in Garrett Geiger, who just committed to the University of Hawaii last weekend.

Game one was tightly contested, but the Hornets pulled away late for a 25-23 win. Fullerton maintained control over games two and three with matching scores of 25-19.

Asontae Lewis-Owens led the team with 22 kills, 7 digs, and 2 aces. Geiger followed up with 12 kills, 6 digs, and 3 aces. Farooq Gibani had 6 kills, and Noah Lourenco dished out 46 assists.

Up Next: The Hornets will play another home game this Friday, April 12th in the South Gym  against conference champion Orange Coast College. Game time is at 6:00 pm.
