In their first Orange Empire Conference game of the season, the Hornets hosted Saddleback College on Wednesday and lost to a speedy Gaucho squad 15-8.
Saddleback came out firing on all cylinders taking a 6-0 lead into the second quarter. By halftime, FC was down 8-2.
The Hornets did their best to keep pace with the Gauchos in the second half, but the damage was done as FC took their first loss of the season.
Fullerton had two goal scorers in Wade Shipman (4 goals) and Brandon Kepley (4 goals).
Up Next: Fullerton (5-1 overall, 0-1 OEC) will play at the Mt SAC Tournament September 15-16.
