MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY: SOCAL PREVIEW

Don Knabe Regional Park in Cerritos was the center stage for the Southern California Regional Preview Championships last Friday.

This course was flat (grass and sidewalks) making the race times much faster.  The men finished in 22nd place with 569 points.

Mauro Rosales finished in 21:22 for 53rd place out of 313 runners. Ryan Sheatz, William Gerard, Andrew Fernando, Ian Rusk, Matthew Worrall, and Eugene Cooper rounded the top seven runners.

Sean Wing came in right behind Eugene and Erick Hernandez followed.

"The times need to drop, and the gapping needs to be closer however we need our main runners to closer and even out the gaps. This will help us knock off a couple significant points", claimed Hornet Head Coach Gina Bevec.

November the weather will be cooler and our men will be running closer together and the personnel will change.   Each race reveals more about the team as they prepare for success by the end of the season.

Up Next: The Golden West Central Park Classic at Central Park in Huntington Beach at 11:00 am.
