SOFTBALL: ERRORS HURT HORNETS

#15 Fullerton hosted #18 Allan Hancock for a Southern California Regional play-in game on Tuesday and were upset 4-1 ending their 2017 campaign.

The day began well for the Hornets as they scored the game's first run in the third inning on a Bulldog error. Alexis Contreras got on base on a bunt to third base that was thrown off target to first. FC's Jill Saiza used her speed to score from second base.

It got ugly for the Hornets in the top of the fifth as they gave away four unearned runs on three throwing errors. That was all the Bulldogs needed to win the game as FC committed five errors on the day while stranding 5 runners.

AHC now moves on to face #2 Mt. San Antonio College in a best of three series beginning on Friday, May 5th.

Making the playoffs for the third year in a row, Fullerton (19-22 overall) had another successful season. Expect them to make a bigger impact next season with twelve talented players set to return.
