SOFTBALL: AGUILAR & SAIZA SIGN
The Lady Hornets had two sophomores sign on with four-year colleges last week in center fielder Jill Saiza and pitcher Isabella Aguilar.
A sophomore from Santa Fe High School, Saiza signed with Marymount University. Jill was an excellent centerfielder for the Hornets who used to speed to track down anything hit her way. In 41 games played, she batted .268 with 27 runs and 16 RBI. Jill also had 11 stolen bases.
A sophomore pitcher from John F. Kennedy High, Aguilar committed to Maryland Eastern Shore. In 17 appearances in the circle, Bella's overall record was 3-3 with an ERA of 4.01. She also delivered 5 strikeouts. In 22 at-bats, Aguilar hit .333 with 3 runs and 4 RBI.
