SOFTBALL: EARLY RUNS HURT HORNETS

The FC softball squad lost 5-2 at home to Santiago Canyon College in a big Orange Empire Conference matchup Friday afternoon.

The Hawks jumped all over the Hornets scoring 4 runs in the 1st inning. Unable to recover from the early onslaught, Fullerton is now 3-2 in the OEC race for first place, while Cypress (5-0) and Santiago Canyon (4-0) remain undefeated at the top of the standings.

Fullerton did manage runs in the 4th and 6th innings on Celeste Borza's RBI single that scored Danielle Ramirez, and on another Borza RBI single that brought in Khloe Lilavois.

Up Next: The Hornets (7-5 overall, 3-2 conference) will host again on March 4th when Saddleback College comes into town. Game time is at 2:30 pm.
