TAKING DOWN NO. 1 MT. SAC & WINNING TWO ON FRIDAY

The No. 10 in SoCal Hornets traveled to No. 1 Mt. San Antonio College on Thursday and stunned the Mounties 7-3.

Then on Friday, Fullerton hosted San Diego Mesa and Long Beach City beating both the Olympians (3-2) and the Vikings (2-0). 

Against Mt. SAC, Fullerton did not waste any time getting on the board knocking in 3 runs in the top of the first. Alyssa Garcia got it started with a bases-loaded hit that scored Jordan EliasMeah Almaraz rocked a double to right field plating Garcia and Alyssa Caulford.

The Mounties managed to score a run in the bottom of the first thanks to Mia Mendoza's solo home run. 

Coco Siono came across on a wild pitch in the second inning putting FC up 4-1.

Mt. SAC countered with a run in the fourth when Janis Espinoza hit a SAC Fly allowing Brianna Goris to come home.

Meah Almaraz homered in the fifth putting FC up 5-2, but the Mounties answered back with a home run of the in the bottom of the fifth on a shot by Olivia Ortiz.

The Hornets put the game away in the seventh with a couple of security runs produced by Alyssa Garcia knocking in Jordan EliasMeah Almaraz (3-3 on the day) then doubled in Haley Perez.

Allyson Fuentes earned the win for Fullerton going 4.1 innings with 5 hits against, 3 earned runs, with no walks, and 3 strikeouts. Dallas Garcia came in to finish off the game with 2.2 innings of work allowing only a hit against.
