WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: ROUGH TIMES

It has been a rough time for the Lady Hornets as they lost their third consecutive Orange Empire Conference game at home Friday night against Riverside City College 73-41.

Before the game began both teams were both tied for third place, but now the Fullerton loss sets them back to 14-8 overall and 3-4 in the OEC (4th place). The win gives Riverside the third place edge and an overall/OEC record of 14-8, 4-3.

RCC opened up the game going on a 13-4 run, as Fullerton never recovered.

The FC offense was stone-cold on the night shooting a mere 20.6% from the floor. Only one Hornet scored in double figures. Michelle Okoroike came off the bench to score 13 points and bring down 8 rebounds. Yana Pollard managed 6 blocks on the night.

Fullerton had no answer for the Tiger's Tori Mitchell who dominated the paint on both sides of the ball. Offensively, Mitchell had a game-high 21 points. Defensively she had 3 blocked shots, and 13 rebounds.

Up Next: Fullerton will try and keep their season from spiraling out of control this Wednesday, February 4th at Orange Coast College (3-18, 0-7). Tip off is at 7:00 pm.
