The FC women's basketball team made it two wins in a row taking conference-rival Saddleback College for a ride Tuesday night 80-57.
Fullerton's win keeps the team in fourth place tie and keeps them in the hunt for a playoff spot. The Gaucho loss holds them in last place in the Orange Empire Conference with a record of 1-10 and an overall record of 4-17.
FC took an early 14-7 advantage and ran away with the game. Shooting one of the best games of the season, the Hornets were 48.6% from the floor scoring 52 points in the paint.
Moriah Serrano led all scorers with 19 points, while Tristian Johns followed with 17 points, 8 boards, and 2 steals. Shenise West had another solid game with 16 points and 12 rebounds. Fia Tailele-Latu dropped in 10 points with 8 rebounds, and Hannah Jones helped out with 8 points and 6 rebounds.
Up Next: The Hornets (15-10 overall, 7-4 OEC) have a big one this Thursday, February 14th at No. 19 in state Cypress College at 7:00 pm. There is no love lost between these two teams as Fullerton beat Cypress at home earlier this season 67-49. Come on out for another exciting game.
