The Hornets welcomed Ohlone College to the Nest on Friday night and clipped the Condor's wings 87-34.
Fullerton opened the game with a 10-2 run scoring from 4 Condor turnovers. Ohlone cut the Hornet lead in half on three-pointer by Diana Krammer, but the Hornets continued to play outstanding defense holding a 17-12 lead by the end of the first quarter.
At the start of the second quarter, FC maintained its aggressive defense allowing Angela Zendejas to score from a Condor turnover. Not letting up, the Hornets got hot with a 21-9 run ending the half on a nice pass from Zenedjas to Bri Landeros for the final bucket. As both teams headed to their respective locker-room, Fullerton owned a 38-21 lead.
The Hornets pushed even further ahead in the second half taking a 53-point lead well into the game locking down their fifth win on the young season.
Angela Zendejas had a huge night for Fullerton scoring a game-high of 27 points with 13 rebounds. She also added 6 assists and 4 blocks. Toni Ballestro followed up with 16 points, and Bri Landeros put up 12 points with 8 rebounds. Jessica Jones scored 11 points and had 7 rebounds.
Up Next: Fullerton (5-3 overall) will play in the LA Valley College Tournament December 8-10. FC will open up against the tournament host (LA Valley) on Thursday, December 8th at 5:00 pm.
