WOMEN'S GOLF: STATE RUN
Freshman Gwen Bates represented the Hornet golf squad at the CCCAA State Championships at Morro Bay.
The tournament began on Sunday and wrapped up on Monday at the Morro Bay Golf Course.
Bates finished the tournament as the 28th golfer shooting 86 on Sunday and 84 on Monday.
The individual tournament came down to a tie this year with Carolin Chang of Santa Barbara City College and Nao Bando of Sierra College winning it all. Chang and Bando shot had identical finishes, 72 on Sunday and 69 on Monday.
A total of 57 student-athletes participated in the years state championship tournament.
