FERNANDEZ SHOOTS FOR 1ST

The Hornet golf squad had a good day at Chino Creek (hosted by Mt. SAC) on Wednesday tying for 1st place in individual-play and 2nd in team.

Ylianna Fernandez had her best outing as a Hornet shooting a personal best of 73 tying Saddleback's Nicole Whipple for a 1st place finish.

Cathilyn Lee tied for 3rd with Orange Coast's Meah Collins at 77, while Cuyamaca's Isabella Barba took 2nd all alone at 76. Lee is still riding in the No. 1 overall for the season with an average of 76.2.

The rest of the Hornets improved their numbers as well with Alyssa Vasquez shooting 94, Liviana Griffin 94, and Rhea Sigur 96.
