HORNETS FALL TO UNBEATEN IRVINE VALLEY

Fullerton lost a close conference match-up to Irvine Valley College 2-1 on Tuesday afternoon.  It has been a rough start to the season for the Hornets as they are a talented team that has yet to capture a win (0-5).

Just like all of their other matches, FC kept the game competitive.  IVC took a 1-0 lead on a goal by Wendy Rendon in the 28th minute of the first half.  FC's Rebecca De Iorio tied the game on an unassisted shot in the 53rd minute of the second half.  The tie was broken in the 76th minute on a goal by the Laser's Yasmine Hart keeping Irvine out of the loss column for the season.

Up Next: The Hornets (0-5, 0-1) will try and pick it up this Friday, September 20th when they host Golden West College at 3:00 pm.
